DUBAI FLOW MOTION – City of the future

As a builder visiting Dubai its impossible not to be in awe of the ambition and innovation that is clearly driving the rapid transformation of once an undeveloped port on the desert’s rim to a cutting edge city of the future.

Dubai has become renowned world over for its iconic buildings like the Burj Khalifa, Atlantis The Palm, Burj Al Arab and the Cayan Tower  (Infinity Tower) just to name a few and have become gleaming symbols of Dubai’s skyline.

However innovation and improvements to Dubai’s infrastructure are continually progressing.  One of them being The Dubai Canal project with 200 water homes built on stilts, marinas as well as floating restaurants.  Another is its Smart City project with the aim to be the worlds most connected and sustainable cities.

Being a leader in smart city design, a playground for innovative architects and the most connected city globally there will be a further push for innovation hubs.  One of these being the Dubai Design District or D3 which will foster growth in the local design industry,  becoming a creative community for artists, architects and designers from all sectors of the global designer community.

The short film Dubai Flow Motion by Rob Whitworth really captures various perspectives of Dubai in an amazing way and certainly celebrates Dubai as a city of the future.
